EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES - Position Available
Inside Sales Representative
We are a leading manufacturer of specialty gas handling equipment and UOP adsorbents. We are seeking an aggressive, experienced sales representative to join our sales team in central New Jersey. You will be responsible for managing accounts located throughout the country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary role will be making PREPLANNED calls via the telephone and in-person with current and prospective clients located across the country. Strong PHONE and interpersonal skills are required to succeed in this position. Field sales calls will be coordinated once a strong opportunity has been established and a face-to-face sales call is appropriate and justified.
- The right candidate will be successful in lead generation in addition to maintaining and growing existing accounts.
- Overnight travel estimated at 15-25% for this position.
- Prior experience in the preparation and presentation of quotations and supply agreements is required.
- We actively use a Strategic Selling process for strategic account sales planning, including the use of Single Sales Objectives and Funnel Positions.
- We also use a Conceptual Selling Process for advance planning of sales calls to determine the specific needs of each account and offer a strategy and solution that meets their needs.
- We require each sales rep to do advance preparation and planning for each sales call, and it is logged into our CRM system and then electronically recorded in the Sales Representative's calendar.
- Establish strong relationships with clients, company employees and industry trade associations.
- Using product knowledge, recommend products for various applications and designs.
- Daily completion of Sales Call Reports that record detailed information gained during the Sales Call, in fulfillment of the Sales Call Plan that was prepared in advance. Sales Call Reports must also include the detailed Action Items that result from the meeting, specifying what is to be completed by whom and when.
- Preparation of effective customer proposals that identify the customer's needs and demonstrate quantified value that we bring to the customer in fulfillment of those needs.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years experience selling products in a competitive environment, preferably in the chemical, plastics or formulation industry (paints, coatings and adheives). Experience selling a technical product is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to write effective, value-added sales proposals. Proposals should demonstrate the identification of specific customer needs and the quantification of value that acceptance of the proposal will bring to the customer.
- Four-year degree preferred or applicable work experience.
- Relationship building skills at multiple levels within a clients organization.
- Documented high sales growth of value-added, profitable products.
- The ability to quickly develop relationships and rapport with clients.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary with an unlimited commission plan. In addition to an excellent benefit package including laptop computer and cell phone, you will be provided with the necessary training and tools to succeed.
